Joined the firm in July 1990 after spending two years with Ernst & Young, Hartford, Connecticut as a senior auditor and a computer auditor. He graduated cum laude from Quinnipiac College in Hamden, Connecticut in May 1988 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting and a minor in Computers. He terminated his full time employment with the firm in April 2000 to become Controller at American Metals & Coal International, Inc. (AMCI) but continued to remain active with the firm on a part time basis. In 2003 Nicola guided AMCI through its acquisition and relocation of accounting services. He rejoined the firm in September 2004.
